The Chiropractor Who Won't Crack You

Dr Patrick McPhie (Chiropractor)
BChiroSc, MChiro — Macquarie University 2004

If you’ve been searching for a chiropractor Cannon Hill locals actually recommend — gentle, thorough, and genuinely different — you’ve found him.

Dr Patrick McPhie (Chiropractor) has been in practice since 2004, and for the past two decades his focus has been on two things: finding the real cause of what’s limiting you, and helping you move and feel better. He doesn’t crack. He doesn’t rush. And he talks — a lot — because he believes an informed patient is a patient who gets better results.

That same approach has taken him from practising in Scotland and Australia to teaching NIP at international symposiums around the world.

The Technique That Changed Everything

Early in his career, Pat was introduced to the Neuro Impulse Protocol (NIP) — a low force, assessment-based chiropractic technique developed by Dr Neil Davies (Chiropractor). It was a turning point.

NIP’s systematic, measurable approach to identifying and correcting disruptions in brain-body communication aligned perfectly with how Pat thought about the body. He trained extensively in the technique, built a close working relationship with its founder, and eventually joined the NIP international teaching team.

Since then, Pat has taught NIP at international symposiums in Hong Kong (2010), Sardinia (2013), Tenerife (2016), Langkawi (2018), and Croatia (2021). He is one of a small number of practitioners worldwide who both teaches and applies NIP at this level.

Two Decades. One Purpose.

Pat graduated from Macquarie University in 2004. After working in Glasgow and Sydney, he spent a decade working alongside Kiro Kids — building extensive experience in paediatric chiropractic care, including with newborns and infants. During that time he opened his own clinic, and eventually took on one of the Kiro Kids locations before making the move to Brisbane, where Cannon Hill Family Chiropractic Centre has been his home base ever since.

Chiropractic runs in the family — his brother Dr Chris McPhie (Chiropractor) runs a NIP-based practice in Altona North, Melbourne.

Pat currently continues his professional development studying functional neurology through Dr Brandon Brock and Dr Datis Kharrazian — two of the leading names in the field internationally.

What to Expect When You See Pat

Pat’s approach is thorough, conversational, and always focused on what the assessment is actually showing — not just the symptoms that brought you in. He’ll explain what he finds, answer your questions, and map out a clear path forward. Whether you’re a nervous first-timer or someone who’s tried everything else, his goal is the same: that you leave with more clarity, more confidence, and more movement than when you walked in.

“I want you to be better so you can improve your health and live life. We look deeper than just a muscle or a joint — we look at the networks and the brain influencing the clinical picture. I want patients to feel safe, see that they’re on the right path, and have confidence that things are moving in the right direction.”

— Dr Patrick McPhie (Chiropractor)

Pat sees patients from Cannon Hill, Morningside, Carina, and right across Brisbane — and it’s why people often search for a chiropractor Cannon Hill locals can trust. Cannon Hill Family Chiropractic Centre has been part of the local community since 1999, with the same simple goal: that you leave feeling confident you’re in the right place, and moving a little better than when you walked in.
